Ask me anything
It seems Microsoft are readying up their new web browser, Version 9 of the Internet Explorer series. Boasting improved security and speed as well as massive improvements in how it handles emerging web standards such as HTML5 and CSS3.
You can view examples of Internet Explorer 9 in action over at http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/, if the results they’re showing are true it could be a god send to Web Designers around the world, gone will be the days of trying to ‘hack’ your site to render correctly in Internet Explorer.
With competition heating up between browsers, Microsoft seem to be pulling everything out of the hat to try bounce back from its current decline in market share, with Internet Explorer 9 leading the charge.
Is this Microsoft’s savior or is Internet Explorer on the last of it’s 9 lives.
#updated: Internet Explorer 9 won’t be available for Windows XP, although 9 years old Windows XP is still the most widely used operating system. Will this be a good or bad decision on Microsoft’s part, only time will tell.
